Let’s Start at The Beginning –

It was August 2018, and my husband and I had just moved to Texas.  We were driving home from Houston and as we came down Egret Bay Boulevard, I looked over and noticed a retirement community.  The very next day I Googled The Crossings.  I checked their job postings on their Careers page to see what open positions were available.  I noticed they were hiring Housekeepers, and quickly applied.  In a matter of just a few days, I was hired.

More than work, We are a Family –

So much has happened over the course of a few years! I was nominated by my peers and won ICARE Champion for the year 2019.  What an honor!  My husband had a stroke and has made good progress with his recovery.  The support I have received from my work family has been wonderful.  COVID 19 has changed how we all live our daily lives.  However, we continue to stay strong as a community.

Why I love what I do –

I have been employed with The Crossings for almost 3 years. I love my job for many reasons, but mainly because we all share the same vision – dedication to our ICARE values – Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. We have a great team that is committed to excellence.  There is nothing like coming to work, knowing you are appreciated.  It’s a special bonus to get to have fun and laugh (our team definitely has a sense of humor)! Everyone has flexibility and the willingness to go the extra mile.  I could not ask for a better job, as I look forward to each and every day.  All in all, the best aspect of working at MRC The Crossings is knowing I make a difference in someone’s life every single day.
